Parking at Birmingham Airport

Hi there, I want to share with you a few tips that I've come across as I live near Birmingham Airport and I do enjoy my holidays!  The thing that was always expensive was finding somewhere secure to leave my car while I went.

So after doing a little research I found out where to go and what to do with regards to this and just wanted to share my knowledge with anyone that is interested.

Do you want to go on holiday whilst leaving your car at home? It can be quite risky because if it’s left on a public street and doesn’t move all sorts of things can happen. The easiest option is to leave your car at the airport. But if you do and you’re going away on a long holiday it can be super expensive! Some airports I’ve been to charge upwards of £25 for an overnight parking spot.

ChatThe best way to get around this is to shop around, you wouldn’t think that shopping around for parking would make any difference, but believe me it does. There are about 12 different car parking facilities at Birmingham Airport and depending on where you purchase your ticket it can vary a lot in price.

You should always remember to do this before you go to the airport because if you don’t, prices are at their highest. It’s like most things at an airport, the earlier you book, the cheaper it is! I’m not sure why that works with car parking spaces but it just does. So I don’t question it, I just go along with it.

Book online at the official Birmingham Airport car parking website which can easily be found through Google and you’ll get to choose the dates of when you’ll be dropping off and collecting your car again. It goes as cheap as £2.99 a day. So a decent 2 week family holiday will cost less than £50 for the safety and security of knowing your vehicle is in good hands.

So what security does the airport offer? Well for starters there is zero public access as it’s within the confines of the airport. Probably more safe than parking it in a garage at home. There is also 24/7 surveillance cameras covering the entire area. You can go on holiday with pure peace of mind!

When you think about it too, how much would it cost you to get a taxi to the airport and again when you get home? I’m guessing it’s going to be near to that amount anyway. So while you’re not saving money in that respect, you will be making life easier for yourself in another. We all know when you get back from a long flight; all you want to do at that point is to just get home and not because you haven’t enjoyed your holiday, but no one really likes hanging around at the airport. So you can just get your cases, head off to the car park and drive yourself home.

I hope that some of my pointers here have been of use to you. So as a conclusion I highly recommend you make use of parking at Birmingham airport if feasible for you. I live about 20 miles away and it saves me so much time and money on taxis. There is less stress when coming back from my holidays now as well. Thanks for checking this page out.
